New books etc.

Oh, the joy of Amazon, yesterday I took delivery of some new books. I ordered 'Eating for England' after reading the post on Ragged Roses blog. So now I must hurry up and finish some books before I can start this. It would be alot easier if the sun came out so I could sit outside and read, this is highly unlikely as it looked promising earlier but has clouded over now!

The others are some new crochet books as most of my crochet books were published in the 80's or before! After devouring these I don't know what project to start with first as there are some great things in them and last week I also had these delivered from Amazon.

It is just too easy to click away and before you know it a parcel is being delivered to your door!

Before starting on some new crochet projects (I haven't quite finished my granny blanket yet) I thought I'd finish these quickly: a lamb, which I cut out at Easter and completely forgot about until yesterday.

A basket of strawberries.

and a one of pears.

And here's a few more thrifted bits a cup and saucer (strangely with a lid) theres a crack in the cup but I thought it was really pretty covered in violets and a couple of plates.

and a few flowered bowls.

There is still more car booty to come, I knew I shouldn't have gone!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I love the look of crochet bouquet - I'll have to look for that one. Is it good? 201 crochet squares is fab, and I've used it a lot.

Sandie I've read all his other books I think he's a great writer. Thanks for the award how exciting.
Lavender hearts - I find crochet really easy but I've been doing it since I was a child. You should give it a go. There are loads of crochet websites out there just make sure it's English rather than American as they do differ.
Lace there are some lovely flowers in there can't wait to try some.
Angel my children are all fighting over lammie but he's all mine!
