A bit of sewing and a little bit of thrift!

I've attempted another angel, Forget me not. I know they say practice makes perfect well I've got alot more practicing to do to get perfection as far as angels are concerned. It's the nose that gets me everytime lol!

Lily wanted a dog from Sew Pretty Homestyle, which I made and called her Daisy dog. But mine wasn't very child friendly I think it's more suited for sitting on the shelf, if I can get it to sit upright that is!

So I found an old pattern in a Harmony toy book for a dog that will hopefully stay in one piece! Lily searched through my stash and came up with a red stripy fabric. Not my choice but I thought I'd just keep her happy as she really wanted Daisy dog.

I also made a couple of mushrooms using a few scraps, I didn't have a clue how to keep them upright so I just sewed some large buttons on the bottom. They're fine as long as there is something behind them!!

Some new flowery cushion covers to brighten the place up a bit.

Now I did say I was trying not to go to a car boot for a while but it is just too tempting, you happen to be driving by and it was dry for once! I found this Victorian moustache cup complete with roses and only paid 50p for it. I find the thought of a moustached man drinking from a delicate cup decorated with roses quite amusing. Not a very good pic as it's quite dark and dreary weather for taking photos.

This wasn't the only thing I bought (by far, see buttons at top of page) but I'm going to have to drip feed the pics to my blog so it doesn't look like I bought so much lol.
